2 Corinthians 3:17—”For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
Who doesn’t want freedom? Freedom from impoverished living, hurtful relationships, addictions, worry, stress, bitterness, anger, jealousy, envy, greed, sexual immorality. When God’s Spirit is unleashed into a community, freedom breaks out in that community. But how does this happen?
2 Corinthians 3:18—”So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.”
The veil is unbelief. True Christians have gotten past unbelief and have placed their trust in Jesus, and reflect God’s glory. His glory is a revelation of His nature and attributes…His greatness. We as Christ followers should take this verse as an opportunity, a challenge, a privilege, and a responsibility. We have the opportunity to make a difference in the middle of dark times.
