What is Faith?

Hebrews 11:6— “…it is impossible to please God without faith.” If we have to have faith to please God, it must be important!

Faith, according to Hebrews 11:1 is the “confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” Faith is where we can be changed, because it means that we have placed everything into the hands of God. Hebrews 11 is devoted to telling the stories of those who placed their entire trust in God.

These people should inspire, encourage, and motivate us, because they stepped towards God and showed us that God is who He says He is. In this “Hall of Fame” of faith, there are stories of prevailing endurance, true freedom, and trust and obedience in difficult circumstances. And each time, they point back to God, to give Him glory.

Faithful people don’t settle. Faithful people press on with the help of God, to the future, to the path that He has chosen for them. They know that God will do what He says He will do. Live with the audacity to have faith.
