Hebrews 12:1-3— “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.”
To say that it isn’t easy to live by faith is an understatement, so we have to stay motivated in order to live with audacious faith. Be involved and connected with a local community of believers. Worship, serve, and encourage one another.
Look at those who have gone before us. When we see the things that held people back, and the things that propelled them into their destiny, we should be encouraged to remove the things in our own lives that keep us from reaching our potential.
But most of all, fix your eyes on Jesus and what He did for you. He is the “champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” Jesus “endured the cross, disregarding its shame” so that you and I could be set free from sin and live to glorify Him.
