Stretching It Out

To turn things right-side up, the first step is to come to God. But after we come to God, we must walk with Him and attempt great things for His glory. One way to do this is to “stretch it out.” Stretch out what is in your hand, the resources that God has given you, and experience more of God’s power in your life. The stuff you have is given to you by God for a purpose: to cause an increase in God’s Kingdom.

The Bible says in Proverbs 4:23 to guard your heart (let it be focused on God), but nowhere in the Bible does it say to guard your stuff! It seems like a lot of the time, we have that backwards; we guard our stuff, but give our hearts away to everything this world throws at us.

Ephesians 5:14—”For it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: ‘Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead…'” Paul is saying to get yourself prepared to do something great! Expect God to use what you have to do great things! You don’t want to miss an opportunity because you were too busy sleeping or guarding your stuff. Wake up, and get ready to move forward with God.
